BATIN (noun) is an Indonesian term that describes a specified domain in human experience such as psyche/emotion/feeling, which is opposed to their corporeal. I take it as something deeper than mere psychological experience, it is like the gate to human spirituality.
I picked that name because this project is basically sonic documentation of my "batin" turmoil, which I think slowly turning into something even darker. And I think it's not as simple as experiencing emotions, but also there is so much disproportion happening within.
It consists of four tracks, and each track respectively leads to an incomplete journey. It is incomplete because I'm still struggling with it at the time I wrote this.
In a sound design context, I do experimenting a lot on this project. I tried to be more minimalist like I never did before and put my trust in a single synth to lead the way, and let everything else come along. I also never be this expressive in using a synthesizer. In conclusion, this project is more about expression rather than entertainment.
It is true that I have my subjective interpretation and intention through these four tracks, and I thank you if you want to perceive them the way I am. But if you have your own interpretation, it is also fine too, you are free to perceive my art in whichever you like.

This is brooding & menacing. It has a radio waves, broken transmission feel to. The featured machines haven't neccesarily taken over, but they're inescapable. Waiting. Watching.
